Beerse, right next to Turnhout.
Beerse has three centres: the centre itself, Den Hout and Vlimmeren. In the centre stands the Sint-Lambertuskerk. A church building was first mentioned on that spot in 1187, and the present church was inaugurated in 1909. Along the canal to Schoten, dug between 1863 and 1866, some twenty brickworks appeared.
Beerse lies right up against Turnhout, so I come to you and you don't have to go anywhere. Every year there are the Kapellekensmarkt on the Tuesday after Easter, the annual fair in Vlimmeren on the first Sunday of May and the evening market on the second Friday of June: days when your business should already be open, online too.
