I worked in hospitality before I built websites.
Long shifts, thin margins, customers who can tell when something is off. Hospitality teaches you what actually matters on a small business's website: speed, honesty, getting out of the customer's way. Most websites do the opposite.
Ten years into software, I built ovrick to do for hospitality what I wish someone had done for the places I used to work in. One bespoke build per client, shipped in 72 hours, no agency layers between you and the person writing your code.
